New types of electrodes made by sol-gel method were the carbon powder is mixed with the sol solution. That’s electrodes are used in many cases as carbon ceramic electrode in electrochemical sensors. By entering the electron transfer intermediate such as organic compounds, organometallic and inorganic complexes in the catalytic properties of carbon ceramic electrode configuration and parameters of these electrodes can be improved. In this work we used of the MIP as intermediate electron transport in modification of carbon ceramic electrode. Electrochemical properties of modified electrode were studied to different electrochemical methods. The efficiency of the modified electrode for the electrocatalytic oxidation of ketoconazole was investigated. Compared with unmodified carbon ceramic electrode, the modified electrode exhibits good catalytic activity for the oxidation of the ketoconazole. So with the bare electrode oxidation peak of 1mM ketoconazole appears at about 421 mV while on the modified electrode it appears at about -119 mV for MIP. About 529 mV shift of the peak potential indicated the catalytic activity of MIP for ketoconazole. The kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient (α) and the number of electrons involved in the rate-determining step (nα) for the oxidation of compounds were determined utilizing cyclic voltammetry (CV). Also diffusion coefficient was estimated using chronoamprometry.
