چكيده
The main objective of the study was to evaluate parents` outlook on the learning English for their children in the early years of their life. A descriptive correlational design was used to conduct the present research. The participants were 100 parents who participated in this research by answering the questionnaire. They had all the children who had started learning English language in different institutes. They also had children who started learning English in their early years of life. The instrument used to collect the data, was a researcher made questionnaire. The questionnaire was prepared and its reliability and validity was calculated by Cronbach alpha. It was distributed among the main population of the study. To gather more valid samples, the questionnaire`s link was emailed to some of the intended groups. The online questionnaire was also be prepared to make the process of gathering data easier and faster and was sent via telegram and e-mail. Also, there were ten teachers who were interviewed about their attitudes and challenges while working with the children in the classroom. The data gathered in this study was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The reliability of the questionnaire as well as the teacher background questionnaire was estimated through running Cronbach’s Alpha to the items of the questionnaires. The findings revealed that parents held positive views on the benefits of early language learning and believed in their child’s progress and proficiency in English. They emphasized the importance of creating an interest in foreign languages and recognized the value of recreational and engaging activities in preschool language education. Teachers, on the other hand, highlighted the challenges and specific characteristics of teaching English to preschool children. Also, the study’s findings emphasize the importance of collaboration and communication between parents and teachers to ensure an effective learning experience for young language learners.
