چكيده
There are many studies which have worked on second language writing and using technology in acquiring language. Teachers’ written feedback is a crucial component in improving writing efficiency. This thesis aimed to compare types and frequency of given feedback in three classes. Three classes with different methods of teaching writing, traditional writing, authentic classical writing, and written computer-mediated communication were examined to compare type and frequency of teacher’s provided feedback.
Seven intermediate Iranian EFL learners participated in this study. The study lasted for eight months (three semesters) and the same teacher employed different method of writing in each semester. At the end of the last semester in order to analyze gathered feedback Chi-Square goodness- of- fit test was run. The result of the test showed there is a significant difference between type and frequency of feedback in these classes. Furthermore, the participants had a positive attitude toward using mobile program in improving writing skill in administered interview. It was concluded that the feedback given through CMC was not only efficient same as other classes, but also this new method of writing was more enjoyable and practical.
