چكيده
Technical terminology plays a significant role in translation of technical or scientific texts. The study of translation strategy allows us to study the way translation works. Industries like other sciences are quickly developing due to the age of globalization and information exchange, and as a result, the need for coining new technical terms is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore nowadays. As such, providing suitable target language (TL) equivalences for English specific terms has turned into one of the key factors in the history of translation studies. Accordingly, based on a model of translation strategies, the present study sought to answer the questions of the research introduce the Intact term ,SL acronym or abbreviation, technical term,SLfull-terminology, Farsi –acronym,TL full-terminologywhichare the kindsof terminologies and technical terms that primary aluminum process follow in SL &TL as first question ,secondly, the will of expert in technical course in using terminology equivalence or translation strategies such as (borrowing ,literal, calque and so on to clarify the second question and to answer the third question, the classification of technical terminology of SL and TL technical terms “hierarchical structure analysis” and the “componential analysis “ to understand the relationships of the terms is discussed and finally, When the there is no equivalence in TL(Farsi language), many technical terms in one language do not find equivalents in another, causing both linguistic and terminological complications,the translator should use Farsi-expanding techniques to explore the strategies underlying the appropriate translation of industrial field’s terms from English into Persian. The samples of translated terminology from the subject field of primary aluminum production process and questionnaires were collected, studied and analyzed which shows the tendency of the technical experts to use the appropriate strategy for rendition and translation of terminologies and terms such as (equivalence and borrowing strategy of translation)
