چكيده
While a limited or more traditional interpretation of effective classroom management may focus largely on “compliance”—rules and strategies that teachers may use to make sure students are sitting in their seats, following directions, listening attentively, etc.—a more encompassing or updated view of classroom management extends to everything that teachers may do to facilitate or improve student learning. Effective education refers to the degree to which schools are successful in accomplishing their educational objectives. Teaching is a complex, multifaceted activity, often requiring instructors to juggle multiple tasks and goals. Teachers play a key role in shaping effective education. An individual teacher can produce powerful gains in student learning. The purpose of the current study was to investigate the relationship between teachersʹ thinking styles and classroom management. A total of 50 female teachers from Behshahr, Mazandaran participated in this study. The qualitative data were gathered via self-report questionnaires including classroom management questionnaire, Thinking Styles Inventory and a demographic information form. To be able to determine the relationship between these two variables, the researcher applied Pearson Correlation Coefficient test was held. The results revealed that there was a significant relationship between thinking styles components (global, local, oligarchical, and legislative thinking styles) and classroom management.
