One of the appropriate methods for research in fiction is to use new theories in various fields of narrative, literary and content, etc. These theories areespecially useful in novels that use elements of postmodernism or modernism. In the present study, considering the novels "Azadeh Khanum and her author" and "Song of the Dead" written by Reza Braheni and using a descriptive-analytical method; It has been studied and analyzed from the perspective of Alger Grimas. Given the importance of characterization in explaining actors, another topic that has been addressed accordingly is "characterization" in these two novels. In fact, without knowing the characters in the story, it is not possible to interpret the six actors mentioned by Grimas. The results show that in the novel of Azadeh Khanum and her author, the main character can be considered as an "active actor" whose main goal is to write a novel and critique the novel. The deterrent is a character named Bill Cuff, and the supporting actor is the "publisher's note" at the end of the novel. Azadeh Khanum is the most complex character in this novel, who comes out of the story due to the use of the "metanarrative" method and sometimes opposes the author. He is so prolific that he reproduces in many forms. In the novel Song of the Dead, main character, who is a professor at the University of Tehran, is an active the actor. His goal is to expose the oppression of the authoritarian Pahlavi regime, and his supporting actor is Dr. Khorsandi and Soheila(Sharifi's wife). Deterrent actors are also numerous masters whose character is described in detail in the novel in direct descriptions of their character.
