A scientific and standard classification of the higher education researches is of a high necessity since it will provide readers, researchers and universities with a good and brief source of reference for determining the required and needed topics of study. The present thesis aims at presenting a topic-based, content-based and methodology-based classification of TEFL MA Theses at Payam-e-Noor University of Rasht in Iran from 1394 until 1398. The theses are all defended and are available in the archive of the PNU university library. The present thesis categorized the theses based on their topic, content and method. In each one of these three subjects (topic, content and method) there were a number of sub-branches that the studies fell under. There were totally 100 theses investigated within this research. The theses fell under 22 categories. The most and the least categories were determined and considering statistical representation of the theses, and interviews with university professors, the strong and weak points of the higher educational theses system were investigated.
